Folsom Street Fair 2026: Dates, Events and Dress Code
9 September 2026
00:00 - 00:00Folsom Street, San Francisco, California 94110, United States, San Francisco, USA

The Folsom Street Fair returns to San Francisco on Sunday, September 27, 2026, taking over several blocks in the SOMA district for one of the most iconic events on the global fetish calendar.
Now in its 42nd year, the fair remains the largest leather and kink event in the world and the centerpiece of San Francisco’s Leather Pride season. What began in 1984 as a grassroots gathering has evolved into a huge, city-wide celebration of freedom of expression and kink.
Across the event, you’ll find multiple stages hosting DJs, live performances, and entertainment throughout the day, alongside a wide mix of local artists, makers, and community organizations. It’s a space that blends celebration with purpose, continuing to raise funds for charities while championing visibility and inclusion.
What’s the Dress Code?
There isn’t one, and that’s the point.
Leather, rubber, harnesses, jockstraps, uniforms, or nothing at all, it’s all part of the landscape here. The fair operates under specific exemptions, so nudity is permitted within event boundaries, but public sexual activity is not allowed.
You’ll see everything from full fetish looks to people simply soaking up the atmosphere. Comfortable footwear is strongly advised, and layering is always a smart move in San Francisco.
More Than Just a Street Fair
The event continues to support a wide range of local organizations, while creating a space where different identities, kinks, and forms of self-expression are not just accepted, but expected. It’s as much about connection and community as it is about cruising.
